The highstreet is changing but how should it change? How can young people influence the design of the highstreet?

What if young people could use gaming to help express their ideas about the spaces they would like to have in real life?

Join us for a free, full-day workshop for children aged 10 to 13 and their parents/guardians, where you will explore the Future of the High Street thinking about the past, present and future, in collaboration with national charity The Glass-House Community Led Design.

Children will be using Roblox Studio to design and build visions for a highstreet within a secure workspace within the Roblox online gaming environment. Parents will look back on the high street as children, and then work with the children to imagine future spaces for the highstreet in the future.

This is a space to play together, and to design together.

• Enjoy a introduction to design and how it affects the way we use the places around us.
• Learn how to use Roblox Studio and its building tools.
• Work together to co-design and model your ideas your future towncentre area in Roblox Studio

Children taking part will receive a certificate.

This workshop is for children aged 10 to 13 and their parents and guardians. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Each adult may bring up to two children, but will need to register each child separately.

This is a free event with lunch included but places are limited.

A laptop will be provided for each participant to use in the workshop.
