'Who gets to ask the questions?

What would a survey about Croydon Town Centre look like which has been led & codesigned by locals if we got to ask the questions?

What would a survey about Croydon Town Centre look like which has been led & codesigned by locals if we got to ask the questions? Would people be more engaged if locals codesign the actual engagement process?

In this creative workshop, we’ve created a community survey about our town centre. Looking at previous examples, we’ll discuss and decide the questions that need to be asked and answered, making sure they target the issues communities need to explore.

Thinking about gaming techniques like ‘choose your own adventure’, we’ll create ways to give feedback in both traditional and non traditional formats, to give accessible, creative, collaborative ways to get involved and bring voices into the conversation who might usually not be heard.

Free & open to all; please click through to the Eventbrite page to book a free space so we know how many people to expect!

Croydon Council is creating a new strategy to underpin the regeneration programmes being planned for the town centre. Croydon’s community groups, residents and businesses will be key to shaping Croydon’s vision.

A multi-disciplinary team led by consultants We Made That, experts in urban strategy, design and infrastructure, has been appointed to create a varied programme of community-led activities where participants will be able to influence the vision and strategy.

A programme of workshops to explore the future of Croydon town centre offers residents, businesses and partners the opportunity to get involved.
